Jon Kostakopoulos, President of Apollo Pact, a medical research and education 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help solve the mental illness epidemic by relying on science & research, is this week’s special guest on The Green Rush.

Anne and Nick were very excited to have this conversation with Jon not only because his non-profit is helping advance clinical research of psychedelics  but he was also the first study participant in New York University’s clinical trial treating alcohol use disorder with psilocybin medical treatment. 

Our hosts chatted with Jon about his experiences in the clinicals, his advice for patients contemplating participating in one of these trials and why he is now using his voice to bring greater awareness to this research. We also learned more about the mission of Apollo Pact and how Jon and his team are focused on promoting greater access to psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Jon Kostakopoulos is the President of Apollo Pact and was the first study participant in New York University’s clinical trial treating alcohol use disorder with psilocybin medical treatment. Prior, he was a news anchor, then Chief of Staff to the Chairman & CEO of a public media company.
